Millennials, Gen Zs, and Customized Training

By  Colleen Mallory

So, I will admit it, I am intrigued by Millennials and Gen Zs, maybe it is because I have three boys, one is a Millennial and two are Gen Zs. Or maybe it is because I find these two generations so darn refreshing, but I really like hearing what they have to say! Millennials and Gen Zs are changing the way we view work, play, and life. Watching my sons navigate technology is astonishing, and I work with technology every day!

Did you know that Millennials and Gen Zs are 2.5 times more likely to adopt new technology than preceding generations?

I think this translates to a true love of learning, millennials just want to know stuff and they don't care if the stuff they learn gives them a degree at the end of the day. I think this attitude is amazing, I mean it seems like the younger generation may have some things figured out, like understanding that the journey is more important than the end result. As far as training goes, the younger generation prefers quick, chunkable information that is available on-demand. The transfer of knowledge is important, but the pathway and the discovery of new information is equally important.
