Enrollments Are Dropping

By  Colleen Mallory

Enrollments Are Dropping...

Is your institution faced with dropping enrollments? College enrollments in the U.S. have decreased for the 8th consecutive year. This news is particularly troubling because the advanced skills that are required for the workforce in the coming years are best provided by community colleges. How do you get the students? Or better yet, how do you let students know that your institution provides the right kind of training?

Is your college taking a holistic approach to get more students and increase revenue to overcome this deficit?

We believe that a college should align all departments in an effort to work together towards a common goal.  Business development and program management need to develop new relationships in the business and community, while at the same time respond to what the region needs with respect to training programs. And when the non-credit side of the house develops programs that guide a student towards the credit side, enrollments increase.
